P0420 Catalytic Converter Code is a frequent call we get here at Motor Purr. From our experience (58 years), this code, which refers to the catalytic converter's inibilty to function properly and reduce pollution, is very often caused by a build-up of oil soot or sludge in the exhaust and the converter itself, from excessive unburned fuel or partially burned fuel. Your "check engine" light is often the first indication there is a problem
There are many great and longer technical artiles on this subject all over the internet, and the cures and treatment fixes vary widely in success and expense! Often the 'cure' is a $2,500 new cat converter! But, try this first!
Motor Purr's customers have been using our Tune Up with our IV Tube as a prevention and cure for this problem for decades. The pevention side is our 3-Step Tune Up process which drastically reduces injector carbon deposits, allowing for cleaner combustion and greatly reduced unburned fuel in the exhaust.
The cure side is the 3rd step of our 3-Step Tune UP using our IV Tube and our Tune Up product which delivers the product directly into the air intake and exhaust, and cleans out the exhaust and cat converter by burning off the excess soot and sluge. We have been experienceing an approximate 80% success rate over the years.. We have many good video on this 3-Step Process, one inparticular from this link here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DG4Q0cePdCI/
Motor Purr has a unique combination of strong chemistry plus accurate and easy delivery, that will clean you catalytic converter, exhaust, and your entire engine is only a few, inexpensive, easy-to-perform steps. Check out our Combo Pack Number 5!
