CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

These Check Engine Light deposits form in, and cleaning is applied to, 3 general areas of your engine--1. fuel system (cleaned by our Injector Cleaner in the fuel tank--very easy), 2. crankcase (cleaned by our Tune Up--easy), and 3. air intake / exhaust (cleaned by our Tune Up plus IV Tube--not difficult).

  • EGR Valve / Passages: Carbon buildup triggers flow-rate fault codes (e.g., P0401). Area 3 air intake / exhaust (Gasoline engines only with our iv tube)

  • Oxygen (O2) Sensors: Soot buildup triggers slow-response or heater circuit fault codes. Area 1 fuel tank or 3 air intake / exhaust (Gasoline engines only with our iv tube)

  • Fuel Injectors & Spark Plugs: Misfires caused by carbon deposits trigger cylinder-specific fault codes. Area 1 fuel tank

  • DPF Filter / Pressure Sensors: Soot accumulation triggers differential pressure fault codes. Area 1 fuel tank (to reduce particulates in the exhaust)

  • Catalytic Converter: Soot coating degrades precious metals, setting off catalyst efficiency codes (e.g., P0420, and others). Area 1 fuel tank or 3 air intake / exhaust (Gasoline engines only with our iv tube)

  • Intake Valves: Airflow problems trigger lean/rich air-fuel mixture fault codes. Area 3 air intake / exhaust (Gasoline engines only with our iv tube)

  • Stuck Turbo Vanes: Soot accumulation triggers boost pressure control deviation fault codes. Area 1 fuel tank to reduce soot load in the exhaust system
