DPF / EGR

These DPF and EGR valve deposits form in (and cleaning is applied to), 3 general areas of your engine--1. fuel system (cleaned by our Injector Cleaner in the fuel tank--very easy), 2. crankcase (cleaned by our Tune Up--easy), and 3. air intake / exhaust (cleaned by our Tune Up plus IV Tube--not difficult).

  • Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF): Accumulates unburned soot and ash, causing severe blockages. Area 1 fuel system to reduce soot load

  • EGR Valve & Cooler: Heavy soot restricts exhaust gas recirculating channels and jams mechanical valves. Area 1 fuel system to reduce soot load

  • Intake Manifold / Swirl Flaps: EGR soot mixes with oil vapor to form sludge, sticking swirl flaps. Area 1 to reduce soot load

*We currently recommend treating Area 1 for DPF / EGR symptoms to greatly reduce soot load throughout the combustion process. Check back for periodic updated recommendations
